Not at VMworld? You can Follow along at Home. (Sort of).
VMworld 2010 is currently underway in San Francisco this week. If you are like me and chose not to attend (or had no choice in the matter at all ), you can still take part in some of the action at home via the internet. For starters, the two Keynotes are available online.
Keynote live here: https://cot.ag/cjFFqE [Live and Recorded]
The next live one will be Thursday, September 2 at 12pm ET.
After watching the first one online live, the format is great. Video on the left and the PowerPoints on the right. Powered by Akamai, the video was smooth and practically real-time. Nice Job!
While watching the Keynote, I had my twitter account opened [TweetDeck], with a #VMWorld hash tag column providing excellent real-time commentary of the speeches.
Of course, don’t forget all the blogs. Every announcement, event, party and session will probably have a blogger diligently writing a summary for your consumption. If you don’t know where to look, check out the VMTN feed from VMware.
Enjoy the conference no matter where you are.
