Breaking down my Home Assistant Volume Control
This is part one of two posts and videos on how I am controlling the volume of various Home Assistants throughout the day. In the Video attached, I talk about how I am using Amazon Polly to send text messages to the Chrome Casts, AMP and then the Whole House Speaker system at a consistent volume throughout the day. No blaring messages at night and no whispers in the day time when the ambient noise is louder.
If you want to know more about the Voice system in the house, you can also read this post.

In this first part, I talk specifically about the Speech Notification script in Home Assistant and it’s volume control mechanism.
In the next post, I will show you how I use Routines to keep the Amazon Alexa voice under control in a similar way.
